Marathon Park Pre-Event Saturday Set Up

Volunteers age 14 and older needed to assist committee members and fork lift operators with construction of fencing and other items, as directed, for the enclosed Marathon Start /Finish compound.  In addition, volunteers will assist with set-up of facilities and tables used for distribution of food and other items to participants in Marathon Start/Finish Area, and with other set-up activities for the race start and finish line areas. Much of this work consists of physical labor including lifting and carrying bulky and unwieldy items.

Volunteers will be provided with a Volunteer T-Shirt . We recommend dressing in comfortable clothes including substantial footwear.
NO sandals or open toed shoes. Dress in layers for Fall weather conditions that can include rain showers. Bring a snack or sack lunch, water and/or other beverages for your shift. NOTE: Do not bring valuables or purses or large backpacks with valuables as you will not be able to secure these items in the park area. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the work for this assignment, we are unable to accommodate those with physical limitations.
