NOTE: ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE CURRENT CPR TRAINING
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE 15 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO VOLUNTEER IN THE MEDICAL AREA.
SHIFT TIMES: VARIABLE from 5:00 AM to 4:30 PM on race day. (The Saturday shift is to assist with set up of the medical tent in the finish area.)
The Portland Marathon Medical Volunteer Coordinator, Stella Rausch-Scott, will contact you with shift times and assignment details once your online volunteer application form is received and approved. Assignment requests will be taken into consideration by the Medical Director.
All volunteers will be provided with a Volunteer T-Shirt when they check in for their Medical job assignment.
Dress in layered clothing for fall weather conditions.
Bring a light snack or a sack lunch and water or beverages for your shift.
Bring your own stethoscope and bandage scissors labeled clearly with your name.
Consider using public transportation. Parking is available in public garages (fee required) or on streets off of the Marathon Course, however, there is significant congestion in the Start/Finish/Medical Area.
