Baggage Drop

For security reasons there is no official bag check. The Portland Marathon encourages you to wear clothing at the start as you warm up, that you can leave behind in the starting corrals. We have a team of volunteers who will collect and wash clothing discarded within the first 3.5 miles of the course and then it is all donated to a community charity! Each year nearly 2 tons of clothing go to a local charity which distributes the clothing to those in need.

What to Carry

The Portland Marathon encourages runners and walkers to carry their cell phone and ID along with any other necessary items like energy gels.

And lastly, have FUN!
