How will I know if I’ve won an award and how will I receive it?
Awards will be given to the top 5 finishers in each 5 year age division – Male and Female – in the Marathon and Half Marathon. Wheelchair awards are given to the top 3 finishers, Men and Women, in the Marathon only. Clydesdale and Pump & Run awards are given to the top 3 Men and Women – 39 and Under and 40+ – in each weight class (5 weight classes for Men and 3 for Women) in the Marathon only. Nordic Walk and Race Walk awards are given to the top 3 finishers, Men and Women, 39 and Under and 40+ in the Half Marathon only.
Awards will be presented to the top men and women finishers in the Marathon/Half Marathon in the Finish area after they complete the event. To ensure that results are accurate and participants receive the correct awards, all other awards will be mailed 6-8 weeks after the event.
Since awards are mailed post-race, it is very important that participants have up-to-date address information on file; if your address changes after registration, please visit the Solutions Table on Marathon weekend (near bib pickup) and submit an address change. Please note that awards not received due to address changes will not be reissued and returned awards will not be remailed. Race results will be considered final after Nov. 1st, no award correction requests will be accepted. Questions regarding award categories and distribution can be e-mailed to Portland Marathon Awards.
