The Oregon & SW Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® has one clear goal – saving lives. This is our 17th year serving our community as the trusted partner in the fight against breast cancer, and we are the only organization in Oregon and SW Washington that exclusively copes with the issues of breast cancer on all levels. We are committed to serving all 36 counties in Oregon as well as the three counties in SW Washington – Clark, Skamania, and Cowlitz – by providing:
- Education about breast cancer and early detection
- Information and support to breast cancer survivors and their families
- Funding for mammograms for women who are uninsured or underinsured
- Funding for transportation and treatment support for survivors
Our promise to you is that we will always be responsible stewards of your donations, therefore 75% of net fundraising dollars raised here… stays here. The remaining 25% teams with other Komen Affiliates nationwide to fund an all-time high of $100 million in breast cancer research in 2008.
