BRINGING JOY TO YOUNG HEARTS

Founded more than a decade ago by a family who has been there, the Children's Cancer Association is passionately committed to bringing resources, friendship, and the healing power of music to families when they need it most. From cystic fibrosis to pediatric cancer, premature birth to cerebral palsy, serious illness touches thousands of families in our communities with fear, isolation and hopelessness.

CCA is the voice of experience, compassion and hope for families whose needs extend beyond medical treatment. Powered by thousands of supporters and volunteers, and available at no cost to families, CCA's innovative, award-winning programs have reached out from Portland across the nation, into children's hospitals and their homes, to provide soothing music in a time of crisis, friendship in a time of loneliness, and resources in a time of turmoil.

Although we can't change the course of an illness or accident, with your help the Children's Cancer Association can bring joy to young hearts when families least expect it.

AWARD-WINNING PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

CCA supports children and their families with a variety of unique programs. The Music Rx® Program brings the healing power of music medicine to the bedsides of hundreds of children each week. The Chemo Pal™ Mentor Program pairs children with caring adults who spend time, share hobbies and build friendships. The LifeSupport Family Enrichment Program grants wishes and helps meet the everyday needs of families coping with a medical crisis. CCA shares the power of information with the Kids' Cancer Pages, a free national directory with hundreds of resources relating to all aspects of pediatric cancer. And with the Alexandra Ellis Caring Cabin™ on the Oregon coast CCA provides a peaceful oasis where seriously ill children and their families can enjoy time together away from the hospital experience.

YOUR COMPASSION COUNTS

The Children's Cancer Association receives no federal or state funds. Every dollar received by CCA comes from individual donors, corporate support, and foundation grants, and special events such as the Portland Marathon. The generosity of our supporters makes possible all of the programs of CCA, and enables us to offer our services free of charge.
